Kent Runnells has joined Brown Huff Zohar as Of Counsel, and brings over 35 years of experience focusing on real estate and commercial transactions, including residential and commercial real estate closings, contract preparation, title examination, issuance of title insurance, financing and re-financing, and the formation and representation of entities, including corporations, partnerships, limited liability companies and general and limited partnerships. Kent also frequently serves as the Qualified Intermediary in Like Kind, Tax Deferred Exchanges under Sec. 1031 of the Internal Revenue Code.
Background
Kent has practiced in the Tampa Bay area since 1986, and has made his home in Safety Harbor where he resides with his wife, Mary, in close proximity to their three adult children, and their three grandchildren. During his time away from the office, Kent enjoys spending time with his family, preferably either sailing or fishing. He also owns a coffee farm in Costa Rica which he frequents, to keep an eye on all the beans his daughter will sell in her coffee shop in Safety Harbor, known as Café Vino Tinto.
